Tuesday: 9th day of heatwave

It was 29 degrees celsius (84.2 fahrenheit ) when  I finally dragged myself off to bed last night, shimmering (with perspiration). I had spent the day in the lounge room at my ironing board workstation (computer, toast, iced tea, scissors, pins) fanning myself and embroidering little faces. When I sat up straight I could feel the drops of sweat pool and run down my spine. I did manage to get on with things.

    • Hi Veronica, the little shell-like things are actually panya seeds from a broken necklace. They look and feel like tiny shells but are much easier to thread!
